
Biography
Vera Keijsers
Vera Keijsers (1995) is a conductor, arranger, singer, and teacher with a passion for inspiring and leading musical ensembles. She honed her craft at Fontys Academy of the Arts in Tilburg, where she studied Music Education (2014-2018) and completed a Master of Music Pop & Jazz Conducting (2018-2022). This solid foundation has shaped her into a versatile and driven musical leader.
"With a unique blend of experience, ranging from leading choirs to conducting orchestras, Vera effortlessly navigates different styles and genres. In recent years, she has increasingly focused on conducting and arranging for instrumental groups. Her ambition is to apply her expertise as a musical leader in orchestras and musical theatre. She regularly collaborates with ensembles and projects, including occasions with the Metropole Orkest. Additionally, she works as a teacher in the Music Education program at Fontys Academy of the Arts in Tilburg and in the Preparatory Music Education at BMEC.
Vera also has a background as a singer and was a member of the Fontys Jazz Choir and Tribute to Toto, known from the third season of The Tribute: Battle of the Bands on SBS6. Since 2019, she has been singing with the a cappella vocal jazz group Blendin' Vocal Collective.
